Fabrication
Step one: Turret Presses & Lasers
Turret punching and/or laser cutting is the first step in the fabrication process. The speed and accuracy of our turret presses and lasers helps us to maintain a competitive edge on part cost and consistent quality. The ability to run unattended and the large capacity provided by our sixteen fabricators allow us to meet our customers per increasing demands. A comprehensive, on-site training program guarantees the exceptional skill level of EVS operators.
Step two: Machining
Our CNC based machining department offers the latest in CAD/CAM software. This allows the ability to convert our customer's models to machine code thus creating more efficient processing. With the ability to think "outside the box", we strive to cost reduce the end product to our customers. Our shop allows us to perform secondary operations to our sheet metal fabrications more efficiently as well as full-blown turnkey machining to serve our customers various needs.
Forming
Our expert forming and bending department is equipped with the latest technology in CNC bending. We utilize European style press brake tooling for greater accuracy, longer tool life, flexibility and faster set-up time. EVS Metal's twenty seven press brakes are networked to accurately store programs to speed set-up of repeat jobs. EVS utilizes Amada's Bendcad software to program our brakes offline to further decrease setup time and minimize lead-time.
Hardware Insertion / Assembly
EVS Metal offers a broad selection of electro-mechanical assembly services. In additions to manufacturing sheet metal parts, we can provide finished products ranging from simple subassemblies to complete turnkey production assemblies. We can even help with specialized packaging requirements.
Polishing, Graining & Deburring
To provide EVS customers with scratch and burr-free parts, we utilize state-of-the-art Timesaver© graining/deburring machines and an extensive array of tumbling and grinding equipment. From grained finishes to #8 mirror Stainless, our highly skilled finishers can handle all of your finishing needs.
Welding
Welding capabilities at EVS Metal include MIG and TIG welding by skilled and experienced American Welding Society (AWS) certified welders. Our spot-welding machines are capable of producing Class A spot welds on a wide variety of materials with capacity to join aluminum up to 0.125" thick
